Once your products and services have the correct VAT rates added to them, you can generate your invoice using different VAT rates within the same invoice. You can adjust the VAT rates before finalising your invoice if necessary:
If Business Finance Assistant hasn't automatically detected when your customer makes a payment, you can manually match your invoice to the payment by following these steps:
- Find the customer payment on your Bank Transactions page.
- Choose the 'Split/Attach' button:
- Select 'Attach document'.
- Select 'Invoice':
- Select the invoice that corresponds to the payment from the list:
- Press 'Done':
- Select 'Confirm' to mark the transaction as 'reviewed' so the transaction appears in green. If the transaction line remains white with no confirm button, it means there is still required information to enter.
To send a receipt back to your customer, find the 'paid' invoice from your 'Invoices' page and select the envelope to email the document.
